IEC camp held at PHC Malharpeth
IEC camp & sensitization of paramedical workers in mental health issues at PHC Malharpeth on 15 dec 2014. IEC activity by poster presentation was done at PHC Malharpeth for patients visiting OPD. Psych social worker Sachin Thite explained the patients & their relatives about different presentations of mental illness & its treatment. Videos for creating awareness about substance abuse & mental illness were played. Clinical psychologist Seema Waghmare guided the public about early identification & treatment of mental illness. ASHA workers, ANM & MPWs from various subcenters under Malharpeth PHC participated actively in the sensitization program. MO Dr S Shikalgar & Dr Rashmi Kulkarni also played pivotal role in organising the program.They assured DMHP team about active participation by all staff of PHC Malharpeth.
